Rising High: Staircase Installation Complete at Mill One, Wigan
We are proud to announce the successful installation of one of our most exciting local projects: a stunning feature staircase at Mill One, part of the landmark Cotton Works regeneration in Wigan.
This is not just any staircase. Designed, detailed, manufactured and installed by the C&C Baseline team, it strikes the perfect balance of form, function and flawless craftsmanship. Located in the iconic Engine Room of this Grade II listed mill, the staircase now leads the way through Mill One’s transformed spaces, from stylish new offices to the much-anticipated rooftop bar.
Built to Impress, Built to Last
At C&C, precision and safety go hand in hand. Every element of this staircase was engineered for durability and compliance, while also delivering on the bold architectural vision for the space. We also supplied and installed bespoke balustrades on the rooftop terrace, offering panoramic views across Wigan, including Haigh Hall, The Brick Community Stadium and the historic Heinz factory.
A Project That Means More
This is more than just a construction project. Mill One is at the heart of Wigan’s wider regeneration, bringing new life to a historic building through a mix of hospitality, workspace and community use. With features including the Beer and Ale House “The Three Mills”, a vibrant new food hall, and a spacious rooftop bar, this development is set to become a true community landmark. We are honoured to have played a part in shaping its future.
