The Cut & Craft Manchester – A Celebration of Heritage, Design & Craftsmanship
The Cut & Craft Manchester is not just a restaurant; it’s a transformation of one of the city’s most historic interiors into a bold and immersive hospitality destination. At C&C Baseline, we’re proud to have played a key role in delivering this ambitious project, bringing bespoke craftsmanship and precision detailing to a venue that’s already turning heads.
Designing for Legacy and Luxury
Housed within a grand 19th-century Grade II listed former banking hall, The Cut & Craft Manchester presented a rare and exciting challenge: how to honour the building’s history while creating something strikingly modern. Led by the talented team at Studio Two Interiors, the creative concept took inspiration from the mythological figure Fortuna, goddess of fortune, to explore themes of money, power, and femininity.
The resulting design plays out across two levels. On the ground floor, the original banking hall has been reimagined as an elegant, high-end dining space, anchored by a theatrical mirrored kitchen and a deep blue signature bar. Contemporary interventions contrast beautifully with the historical features, creating a relationship between old and new.
Downstairs, the building’s former vaults have been transformed into an atmospheric private dining room and luxurious bathrooms. The space celebrates opulence, diversity, and femininity through layered textures, sculptural lighting, and custom-designed features..
Bringing the Vision to Life
At C&C Baseline, we were brought on board to deliver the full interior fit-out in collaboration with fit-out specialists Dawnvale. From design through to manufacture and installation, our team worked at pace to meet a tight six-week deadline — without ever compromising on quality or detail.
Our scope included:
- A striking, central bar feature
- Bespoke brass reception desk
- Custom display units, waiter stations, and privacy screens
- A sophisticated concierge desk with woven brass detailing
- Ambient glow tables, planter tables, and coffee station
- A statement DJ booth and feature brass screens
- A sculptural helical staircase with bespoke balustrade and under-stair wine enclosure
- Integrated media and vanity units, plus decorative dividing screens
Every piece was custom-fabricated to reflect the refined, layered design intent — and built to perform within the realities of a fast-paced hospitality environment.
